I have a Radioddity DB25-G mobile I use as a secondary base.  I like this radio and it has some great features.  The problem I have become aware of is that Windows 11 does not support the USB port for the programming cable.  I discovered this while reading up on the Radio in some other Forum.  Since I acquired this radio when I had a Windows 10 desktop I had no issues programming with CHIRP on that computer. Since then that PC took the big dive and I had to replace it.  After hearing the issue with Windows 11, I decided to verify on my own.  Yup, there is currently no way to connect the radio to a Windows 11 PC.  Good thing my Frau has an older Windows 10 laptop.  Even though Joy, Frank and I and possibly a few others bought new laptops from the big AMZ, I'm sure glad I kept the old laptop.  Now I understand what some of the Motorola users have to deal with.

So word to the wise,  If you have one of the Radioddity DB25-G radios, learn to manually program it, to be safe.

I have found no sources that are addressing this issue.  Windows does not have a driver to correct this either.  Now, I'm going to have to verify that my other radios will function with Windows 11 USB protocol.

Bill,

This is the reason my new laptop was not and will never be upgraded to windows 11. I had heard about the windows 11 issue with several different cps programs prior to my laptop arriving.

If you are receiving the PL2303 Not Supported error, I followed these 2 guides to get the Raddioddity cables working on Win 11.
