Any interested in foxhunting?   Would be interested in setting up the appropriate people and infrastructure to facilitate this activity.   Including appropriate  equipment set, tools, efficient procedures, etc as well as set of people to execute as either exercise or task.

@radioactive Back in the mid to late 70's during the CB craze, I was intrigued with the Foxhunting concept.  So everyone knows, it is a fun skill to acquire.  Could it be established within out ranks?  Of course it could.  But to get just a little off subject, in this day and age, we all have to deal with jammers who aren't doing it for fun and entertainment.  The principles for Foxhunting and chasing down Jammers are very similar.  I would like to see a cadre of individuals (unknown to most) who would be the foundation for tracking down and identifying Jammers to keep the airwaves clear of harassers.  Who knows, maybe I'm wishing for something that is already in practice, but I'm just not in the know.

@billwrql525   actually, that (locating jammers) is the real intent..  perhaps it could start with just a forum discussion on the 'principles'  (approach, equipment set, technique,  best practices  etc etc) that feed into a robust, efficient execution for stationary site. I can envision various aspects of an approach,  but in the absence of  the 'cadre',  I question effectiveness.

Seems the dataset from the simplex net could be useful in terms of coordinating those with yagi's for directionality and triangulation and those with omni's for proximity and simply enumerating potential targets, as a start.

@radioactive that becomes dependent on operators being engaged at any given time. Variables of equipment also do not always correlate.

There are more efficients ways. Like I said, I can help, if you like.
